Zagat

  • Despite the celeb ratio, everyone receives a welcome like family
  • Wonderful Italian food and always crowded with neighborhood residents.
One of my all time favorite restaurants. I have been going there ever since it opened. The food is excellent. The ricotta cheesecake taste like my grandmothers from Italy. I have never had anyone not enjoy the meal.
  • Stunning menu. If this place ever closes Armageddon will have come
  • Excellent Italian food, plus ample star gazing.
  • Wonderful food, electric party atmosphere.
  • Neighborhood upscale italian that treats everyone like Positano royalty.
  • Simple, excellent food and service. The restaurant is small and fills up fast by 7:30pm. Valet parking is available. No cocktails only wine/beer, but the wine list is great. my new favorite restaurant in LA

On the surface, the wealthy-looking clientele may make Toscana intimidating but there is no "better-than-you" attitude here.
The restaurant is always jam-packed and its long-standing success is probably due to the friendly and attentive staff, who make everyone feel like a star.

Diners are pampered in style at this elegant Brentwood Italian restaurant.
Beaded lampshades and a copper-framed pizza oven cast a warm glow, and the air rings with the buzz of business deals and murmurs of romance. Despite an affluent, high-tipping clientele, the atmosphere remains low-key. Highly efficient servers gesticulate wildly while listing specialties in heavy Italian accents. Menu items include bocconcini salad with burrata, salmon carpaccio; spinach-ricotta ravioli in pomodoro sauce; and grilled branzino with spinach and potatoes. Dessert features classics like tiramisu and chocolate-covered strawberries.

This traditional trattoria sits in the heart of Brentwood and is always packed. Covered with ceramic jugs and posters of old Italy, the dining room has a rustic decor and low key atmosphere. The wide range of Tuscan dishes are raved about, to the extent that reservations are highly recommended

You walk in to a sweet italian place with handsome italian waiters who kiss you on the cheek, call you bella and feed you the most delicious food you will have. I am a huge italian food lover and have had some of the finest italian food around the world.

I was so impressed with the fun dining atmostphere, centerpiece of edible veggies, delicious pita bread, and pizza appetizers! I was trying to stay away from anything heavy so I ordered the white fish and the waiter made it extra special with no cream sauce but simply grilled with lemon, olive oil, and basil yummy! I said I wasn't going to eat pasta, but of course my friend orders it and says  "taste a little."...how could I resist?

Well I might as well forget about working out and accept my toll of being a fatty because my love for carbs. I was intoxicated by the simplest dish one could imagine, the POMODORO SPAGHETTI! It didn't have anything crazy special, its just the combination of al denti spaghetti and the secret sauce that can end all wars. You must try it!!

This restaurant is amazing on all levels.  The food is the most authentic Italian I've had since I was recently in Tuscany. The risotto is very light and yet rich, the seafood very fresh and the steaks - well, they're known for their delicious steaks. The ambience is enhanced by the friendly maitre'd, Francesco, who is always smiling, friendly and very helpful.
This is by far one of the best restaurants Southern California has to offer.  A must try for anyone really wanting authentic Italian cuisine.

Amazing, amazing, quality Italian in the heart of Brentwood, Toscana's seemingly casual environment belies the utter wonderfulness of its homestyle cooking. Every dish I've ever tried at Toscana is perfectly delicious. First, they give you these unbelievable pizza crusts in addition to the bread basket AND a vegetable plate, so there is plenty on which to nosh before you even order. The appetizers are great - wonderful salads and beef carpaccio - but their meats and pastas...wow. One of the best pesto sauces I've ever tasted, and bolgenese is quality. Their veal and lamb chops are cooked to perfection. They are always willing to accommodate substitutions, and if you find something you don't like, they'll likely make it for you. (My cousin's girlfriend usually requests a specific - but simple - pasta dish they don't have on the menu, and they make it for her without hesitation).

I've been for a couple large parties and then for several smaller dinners, and the service and food are always consistent. Great wine list too. It's always crowded (make a reservation for sure) and definitely on the louder side, so if you're looking for a quiet dinner, you're probably not going to find it here. But you will find a wonderful, satisfying, delicious meal - yum yum yum!

There's Toscana, then there's the rest. Italian or not, in Los Angeles or not, doesn't matter, Toscana is best. Food and service is high-end, and most fun when you get a good bottle of wine or champagne. I always get the same thing, spinich ravioli and tri-color salad, and we sit at the bar cause its fun watching the cooks.

Toscana: The Most Authentic Italian You Can Get

Friendly staff. Get to know them (or speak fluent Italian) and you won't have to wait in the semi-crowded entryway. It's crowded, and a celebrity or two can always be spotted.
When you sit, not only is there a bread basket, but fresh vegatables and a vinagrette dip. Very creative setup.
Must-Haves:
-Prosciutto
-Margherita Pizza
-Gnocchi

Amazing food and amazing scene. Expensive, but worth it.
I frequent Toscana at least once a week with my family, and I have never once been let down.
